“Diperiksa sebagai saksi korban, pertama dia masih memberikan keterangan sebagaimana yang beredar di media. Namun lama-kelamaan keterangan tidak konsisten, jadi tidak sesuai dengan fakta di lapangan,” katanya.
Toni kemudian meminta kepada keluarga besar untuk membujuk pelaku agar mengakui perbuatannya. Toni mengatakan pelaku akhirnya mengakui melakukan pembunuhan dan langsung diserahkan kepada polisi.
“Sudah dibujuk, pukul 7 (malam tadi) akhirnya dia mengakui dan pukul 8 kami serahkan ke Polres Serang Kota,” katanya.
Toni mengatakan, berdasarkan keterangan pelaku, motif pembunuhan itu adalah tuduhan selingkuh oleh istrinya. Atas tuduhan itu, pelaku marah dan melakukan pembunuhan.
“Mereka bercanda, istrinya nyeletuk, ‘Kok kamu nggak pernah ngasih uang lagi ke aku, apa kau sudah kasih ke perempuanmu’.
Jadi emosi, semakin ribut, akhirnya pelaku kalap, dicekik istrinya ini dengan tangannya, kemudian ngambil tali diikat,” ungkapnya.
Setelah melakukan pembunuhan, pelaku kemudian membuat skenario seolah menjadi korban perampokan.
Tak hanya itu, pelaku juga hendak bunuh diri dengan cara membenturkan kepalanya ke tembok dan mengikat lehernya dengan tali.
“Setelah istrinya meninggal, dia berusaha untuk bunuh diri, makanya kepalanya bonyok-bonyok, dihantam kepala ke dinding,
dia mukulin kepalanya sendiri.
Dia kemudian alibi seolah-olah menjadi korban perampokan, diambil barang-barang korban seakan ada yang hilang,” katanya.
